Sexual problems are really common in both men and women. These can include painful intercourse, erectile dysfunction (ED), premature ejacualtion (PE) and delalyed ejaculation, and inablity to orgasm.
These may be present with loss of desire (which i discuss here), or compulsive sexual beahviour (discussed here).
It is worth ruling out possible physical causes of these issues before or alongside therapy. For example. ED might be associated with heart problems or diabetes; and painful intercourse might be result of an infection or other problem.
These possibilities can usually be discounted by a trip to the GP.
Very often, however, we find that they have an emotional or psychological cause such as anxiety, and that this can be treated successfully with talking therapy.
In addition, many people have questions about sex, their sexuality, their preferences, fantasies or 'kinks', and would like to know 'what is OK or normal.'
I offer a non-judgemental and completely confidential space to talk about all this.
I will work with you to explore:
- how to deal with loss of desire
- how to deal with painful intercourse, erectile dysfunction, premature or delayed ejaculation, and problems reaching orgasm
_ what is OK or 'normal'
– how to understand sexual orientation, sexual preference, fantasy and 'kink", and learn more about sexual desire.
Sex therapy is a talking therapy and does not involve touch a any time. I offer you a relaxed and safe space to ask questions: much like a private seminar.
